The Twenty-seventh Amendment was certified on May 18, 1992, more than 202 years after its original proposal by the first Congress in 1789.Probably would be the most delayed as well!!The full text of the Amendment is:
No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened.
